SUSAN ARDERN, an artist and musician for more than 20 years. Her paintings are bold in essence, strong and vibrant in colour, quirky and fantasy-like in composition.

She loves to develop a series of paintings, ‘her story, her journey’, is told not only through paint, but sculpture and many other creative forms.

Susan has a love of nature and animals and captures this feeling in much of her art. Animals play a significant role in subject matter, as well as the female form and portraiture. Her work may also show a connection to water, boats, music or musical instruments.

Over the past 20 years, Susan has had many exhibitions and participated in many Artists in Resident Programs, both locally, interstate and overseas. She was privileged to be invited to join the 2005 Resident Program at ‘Bundanoon’, Boyd’s artist retreat in Shoalhaven.
