Drawn in by the exquisite designs and striking representations, it’s not long before they realize “there’s a person in there!” How long does it take and does the model stand there the whole time?
Emma painstakingly camouflages the human form into hand painted designs. She was inspired by the late Florence Broad Hurst wallpaper designs and the use of this medium and its creative application sets her work apart as she mixes these designs with body illustration.
In her Native Mandala collection her stunning depiction of native wildlife, mammals, birds and reptiles appear to leap from the luscious native floral setting seeming to overtake the presence of humans.
This award winning artist continues to be at the forefront of an art form growing in worldwide popularity. Through dedication and a passion for her craft Emma’s 20 year career has evolved from beginnings as a children’s face painter to an artist of world acclaim.
