Alibone, Karen

Karen initially spent many years creating studio and sculptural ceramics. After relocating to country Victoria from the South Coast of NSW she decided it was time for another change and she redirected her artistic talent and commenced painting career.

” I’ve always been a bit obsessive with detail and I often used to try to do impossible things with clay. Painting is a medium which allows me to indulge myself without blowing things up in the kiln.

I’d like to think that people connect on different levels with my works and I try to keep the vibrancy and humour at a maximum.”
