The spatial relationships of sky, land and ocean and their respective horizons in the vastness of the Australian landscape have become a major pre-occupation in Jane's work.

An experienced yachtswoman and diver, Jane's images are also concerned with the moods of nature and the unique colours, patterns and textures of our continent.

Studies in graphics have leant an enhanced sense of colour and influenced often minimalistic concepts of spatial design within the canvas.

A recent trip to Tuscany has encouraged the use of layers of paint, textural variation multiple glazing and more earthy, neutral colours to permeate her works.

Being 'in the landscape' is very important and on frequent field trips throughout Australia Jane fills sketchbooks and takes countless photos as reference for her oils on canvas which are created back at her studio on the southern Victorian coast at Queenscliff.

Jane has been a professional artist for some years after careers in teaching, advertising and graphic design.

She has featured in solo exhibition and her works are in private collections in Australia and overseas. Jane work has become greatly sought after, resulting in many works to be commissioned.
