Noel Miller

I started with a farming background in northern Victoria and the Riverina New South Wales. Moved to Croydon, Melbourne in 1974 to further my art interests, I continue to live in Croydon where I have built a studio.

Studied with sculptor Ian Bow who, along with artists John Waterhouse, Lewis Miller and Margaret Woodward are my greatest influences.

Since moving to Melbourne I have moved away from the rural landscape to more urban subject matter. My greatest love is restaurant themes. Spent quite some time in Venice and France where I became very interested in the cafge scene, people dining etc. This subject is probably my favourite. Heavily influenced by contemporary works of the Saatchi Gallery, London and the life drawings of the Uffizi Gallery, Florence.

Have had many one man and mixed exhibitions. Now find it difficult to find the time to prepare for one man shows. Age - was born too long ago.
