Sandy Lurie feels that having lived her whole life in the African inland, and then immigrating to Australia, she has developed a love and appreciation of the Pacific Ocean and coastline. Consequently her fascination with the ever changing colours and the freedom of movement of the seas resulted in the ocean being the key theme to her textured and colourful paintings. .
