Vida was born at Wonthaggi, Victoria in 1957. From 1982 - 1984 she studied at the North Adelaide School of Art majoring in printmaking and drawing. Vida has a very strong commitment to printmaking but also loves the delicacy of watercolour and pastel.

Subject matter for Vida's prints and paintings is gleaned from extensive field trips both within Australia and from overseas destinations as varied as Iceland, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Tahiti and Africa. Her love of flora and fauna is expressed in the many studies of plants, birds and animals that she has transformed into hand-coloured linocuts and watercolours over many years.

Vida's work can be found in galleries throughout Australia. Vida has won over 90 prizes in art competitions - indicating the quality and commitment she gives to each piece of work. She exhibits regularly in group exhibitions and endeavours to have a solo exhibition every 2-3 years.
